Regular exercise is a must for everybody for reducing weight and also for maintenance of weight. While on restricted diet, one should carry on regular exercise every day for weight reduction. Continue these exercises after attaining target weight and switch over to normal diet (cooked food - only twice a day), you will not put on weight again.
There is no point in maintaining weight by dieting alone. One has to eat well and maintain one's weight by carrying on regular exercises.
We have planned a simple yogic exercise regimen i.e., "25 minutes yoga for you" which gives enough physical exertion to burn calories, movements to all the joints and covers exercise to all vital organs including hormonal system. Everyone is realizing the importance of exercise. Due to lack of proper guidance, people are confused and start going for walks, jogging, swimming, games, etc. These types of exercises cannot be carried out regularly for more than a week, due to hectic lifestyles & complexity in keeping the continuity. Moreover these type of physical activities do not provide exercise to the whole body.
Hence "25 minutes yoga for you" should become a part of one's own morning routine like one brushes teeth whether at home or in a hotel room or at a guesthouse. This exercise can be done by boys & girls above 10 years and 12 years of age respectively and men and women up to the age of 60 years. |
